Symon Jacobsen is responsable for starting  Jacobsens-GFM.

On a trip to Agritechnica in 2000  he found a small company by the name of Ernst Degenhart GmbH.

They are a company who specialised in manufacturing Front Linkages and Front PTOs for John Deere tractors.

Due to the Family farm at home using John Deere tractors  and having certain issues with such equipment he looked at the possibility of purchasing their equipment.

The quality of what was supplied was of such a high standard and was not imported into the UK market, this lead the bussiness looking to become the importer for Ernst Degenhart to provide a quality made product  for a niche market.
